Barbera d’Asti Superiore D.O.C.

Only highly selected Barbera grapes are used, harvested in the various vineyards.

After a 10-day fermentation at a controlled temperature never exceeding 26° C, and a period of storage in stainless steel tanks, it is aged in French oak barriques for 36 months. After bottling, a minimum of 3 months pass before marketing.

The color is a deep ruby ​​red, very clear and of great consistency.

The nose is intense, broad and persistent with hints of small red fruits like blackberry, marasca cherry and slight hints of sour cherry. After a brief oxygenation, more complex notes of mint and licorice emerge, with hints of vanilla. The nose has excellent continuity and above all great persistence and complexity.

In the mouth it confirms the olfactory sensations: superior mass and enveloping, a round and pulpy fruit, well balanced by the right acidity and sapidity. Despite the imposing structure it is a wine with an inviting pleasantness to drink. In the finish it leaves a pleasant notes of red fruits and licorice.

This wine should be served at a temperature of 16°/18° C. in combination with red meat and game dishes or aged cheese.

It can be stored in a suitable environment for at least 10 years.
